I think the biggest issue is people walk into switching thinking tulpamancy is a universally agreed upon thing and get confused when they see a whole bunch of contradicting information. If people understand that wonderland switching has at least several asterisks next to it, I think it would add more clarity. Or anyone's definition of switching for that matter (edited)

iirc "soft switching" is switching by changing primary thinkers and "hard switching" is switching by doing full body possession so long that a switch takes place I think people make up different definitions for these terms and it gets confusing

sometimes there are things you ...cant really fix, if you do it only for a certain amount of time and not too much, and your tulpa agreed upon it, i dont think it is a problem (edited)

escapism is a coping mechanism that is sometimes justified when there is no other solution, it's just bad when it becomes a habit and makes you not consider other solutions to the problem

even if you switched places with tulpa and they would take over your life with positivity, they would end up in same life circumstances as you and over time would start having exactly same problems

And I am very aware who my audience is and who will read what parts of my guide in progress. I have a special section planned for who I assume is 70% of all tulpamancers, and as for everyone else, the rest of the guide to break things down and help them establish the switching experience they desire

More often than not hosts trying to switch out to escape their life problems don't have problems specific to them personality-wise. It's usually an issue with their environment and an incorrect assumption that the host just has "bad opinions" or whatever. While a more positive mindset can help, it's only really useful if that leads to you changing your situation in a positive way. (edited)

Wonderland switching can be as real as tulpa's activity in wonderland when you aren't observing them. When you switch (as a tulpa) you can convince yourself that your host is playing in WL just like some people are convinced their tulpa is playing in WL when they don't spend time with them.

It is possible, but it will inevitably negatively impact your functioning... People daydream all the time, but they cannot do so while doing any challenging task. (edited)

In line with this, the process doing the boring job while daydreaming would have a very limited awareness of its task and goals, as to not stop. While the more complex and rich awareness that you percieve is just imagining.

Autopiloting your task while daydreaming, is not what I'd consider wonderland switching the way people expect. When you're daydreaming, you're not paying much attention to what you're doing, and it'd be confabulation to believe your headmate was fully consciously aware and fronting while you were daydreaming being in wonderland

When we switch the one on the back fronts and the one on the front becomes a mindvoice for us.

Technically any place in imagination can be called wonderland. In that sense we are wonderlanding too I guess.

Although when im in wonderland for too long i stop feeling like im imagining and i kinda feel like "someone is imagining for me" and it feels almost like a dream (until i notice this happening and it stops). (edited)

We can't achieve that kind of immersion unless in the half-dreaming state.

Well, i would define that state as half dreaming on its own regardless of the level of actual sleepiness.

It just happens.

You don't need such immersion to enjoy fantasizing.

It goes away when i rationally realize that its happening so actively trying to enter that state probably wont help anyway. (edited)

That is probably the worst thing you can assume. Basically you would be letting another tulpa into your system just because "a tulpa behaved weird" which you can just assume its a random intrusive thought. (Unless you actually want another tulpa...)

One of the strengths (and sometimes weaknesses) of hanging around in the tulpa community is you can get other people's perspectives on your mindsets. If a unique mindset is harmful, someone else is likely to call it out. Just don't let it drag you down from being creative. Otherwise, you'll pick up on the run-of-the-mill tulpa advice with practice. You'll get better with time, don't worry
